Dragan’s Den is located near Plitvice lakes, in a small town Vrhovine that is well connected to Croatia’s largest cities and towns via excellent train connections from Zagreb, Split, Zadar and Rijeka that run several times a day and offer a truly nice, scenic ride.
Full schedule and train timetables look up here. NOTE: Most of the trains are night trains, you are welcome to come through the night, doors will be open. If you come by the night train, make sure to set your alarm to wake up before the train arrives at Vrhovine.
Once you find yourself at the train station in Vrhovine, we are a few minutes walk away. After you have exit the train, go round the station to the back. Once you see a road, take a right, continue straight until you reach the end of the road. You will first see a small private road where you can turn left, continue going straight. Make your second possible left onto a paved road and continue walking until you see the yellow House Senjska 62 on the left. Come on in! If you see a statue of late 19th-century Croatian poet Silvije Strahimir Kranjčević you are right next door to the hostel. The entryway to the hostel contains a sign with our Dragan’s Den logo.
If you are with a car just use Google map – Dragan’s Den Plitvice hostel, Vrhovine. GPS: 44.851713, 15.425201. Coming with a car from Zagreb or Split, take E 71 and make a turn to D 52 road.
We recommend you to rent a car in order to see as much of the area once you are here, especially since renting a car these days is very cheap. Skyscanner has good deals and they offer a pickup service.
